BSC AGRICULTURE

The BSc in Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate program that focuses on agriculture and related fields. It covers a variety of disciplines, including horticulture and soil science, plant pathology and entomology as well as agricultural economics, animal husbandry and agricultural engineering.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifications in education: Candidates should have at least 50% of their 10+2 education from an accredited university or board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

SCOPE IN AGRICULTURE:

To further their career in agriculture, graduates can pursue additional studies like a MSc in Agriculture, MBA Agribusiness or a PhD in  agriculture.Graduates of a BSc in Agriculture can pursue a variety of career options in agriculture after completing their degree. These include agricultural engineer, horticulturist and plant breeder. Many career opportunities exist in the field of BSc Agriculture.

 

 

  • Agricultural Scientist: You will be responsible to research, develop, and implement new technologies and techniques in the field.
  • Farm Manager: You will manage and oversee the day to day operations of a farm including crop production and livestock management.
  • Agricultural Extension Officer: You will be responsible to provide education and support to rural communities and farmers in order to increase agricultural productivity and sustainability.
  • Agribusiness Manager: You will manage and oversee the farm's business operations, including finance and marketing.
  • Agricultural Engineer: You will be responsible to design, develop, and implement new technology and equipment in the agricultural industry.
  • Agronomist: You will be responsible for understanding the science behind plant growth and soil management and then applying that knowledge to increase crop productivity and sustainability.
  • Soil Scientist: You will be responsible for understanding the physical, chemical and biological properties and for developing new techniques to manage and conserve soil.
